If you’re hungry late at night, head out to Soul Cafe. It is open until 11 pm at night, which is later than most eateries are open in Weligama area. It has got a rather laid back vibe and a genial atmosphere. Cosy little cafe near the ocean, warm atmosphere, friendly personnel. Surfers meeting point. European cuisine. Big picture-postcard and beautiful portions. Healthy and nutritious breakfasts 9:00 to 11:00. Homemade lunches will be served at 12:00 to 16:20. Fresh fish and vegetables, farmer chicken and eggs, big assortment of fresh juices and smoothies also famous for this place. When you need some grub after a good surf session, or when you need a fresh juice to cool down, or if you need somewhere to enjoy the view while you work on your overseas projects, this place has it all. Great experience, it shows when the staff care about their work. It has picturesque view of the Weligama bay, nice atmosphere and interesting design. This airy rooftop restaurant is a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee, smoothie, baked treat, or meal! Staff are friendly, wi-fi is good, view is beautiful, and they have environmentally conscious options (water refill station, reusable metal straws). They also have weekly events like the open mic night, which was incredibly popular. They don't serve alcohol, but you can BYOB, so no issue there. It is also suited for families and friends. They serve coffee, cakes, salads, pasta, fresh juices. A must-visit in my opinion!

Lovely little cafe (upstairs) that's part of a hostel, and has a little shop on the side. Aloha Home & Kitchen is located steps away from the beach, It is a simple roadside eatery specializing in European favorites. Satisfy your craving for a juicy burger in this lovely dining venue, sip some ice cold beer or sample an amazing cappuccino, and, of course. Their hospitable staff will cater to your every need and their chefs make some of the tastiest burgers. Very nice place, good selection of dishes, even for vegan, everything is delicious!. You can even buy a room to stay here if you like. The tangerine lighting makes this joint extremely genial. They don't serve alcohol. Cost is bit high comparing to others but absolutely Amazing food, if you're looking for more European style.

This is the place to eat if you like sea food. As the name suggests, it's all fresh, just go to a stall select your fish, prawns, squid, take seat on the beach, enjoy a cold beer, or whatever else you drink and watch the sun go down while your food is cooked to perfection. It sells and cooks only fish, but it’s surely some of the best fish you’ll ever have in your entire life. From outside it looks like they just sell fish. But when you actually go there you see its lot more than that. Unlike many other restaurants in the village, this tiny seafront eatery charges seafood by weight. After that, you may choose the way you’d like to be cooked whether steamed, fried or grilled. Fresh, delicious and flavorsome, the seafood served at Fish Point Weligama is really worth a bite! Very good food served on a candle-lit beach (night), great prices too! Can highly recommend for a romantic dinner or just a chilled evening with friends.

Baba’s Rotty Shop and Restaurant is a famous hangout for locals and expats. It is located at the parallel street to the coastal road. Featuring hippie-style interior with Bob Marley’s photos hanging on the walls, reggae tunes blasting from speakers and genuine Sri Lankan food served in generous portions at bargain prices, it’s not surprising that Baba’s gets packed right after sunset. It a great place for you to enjoying some great seafood in this coastal town. Amazing service, reasonably fast and very friendly. Good place for breakfast and lunch. The price is highly reasonable. Friendly service, delicious dishes for a reasonable price and a very chilled vibe. The owner of this place is really nice and very helpful. Rice and Curry was awesome and cheap. Unlimited buffet is also available. Sometimes off season time of Southern beach (May - October) restaurant may be closed.

Tiki Clifftop Bar is located above a cliff overlooking the beautiful Weligama Bay. Even though the ride to the location is a bit questionable. We provide great service with excellent food. Everything is fresh and modestly priced. A great place to chill for a afternoon beer. The food taste great and awesome people. Staff is very helpful and eager to serve but cost is bit higher than other local restaurants. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious! The mojitos are awesome. The owners are local family, but they cook better than in expensive restaurants. On weekends this is the place for all the surf instructors and their pupils and the place is really packed with party people dancing to local DJ talents

Meewitha Cool Spot is a fine dining establishment in Weligama where it is really home made foods. Food can be in wide range like vegetarian curry's, fish curry's, chicken curry's, prawn curry's, noodles, fried rice, kottu, soup, deviled, fried potatoes, fresh sea foods, fresh fruit juices, hot pancakes, Western and traditional breakfast, dessert and hot beverages. Although this is a rather humble joint with unpretentious décor, Chef Akila restaurant lets its food do all the talking. Known primarily for its Sri Lankan cuisine, they also serve great pancakes. The restaurant is affordably priced. The staff is very kind and provides the best hospitality to ensure that you have a great time. The owners are local family.
